Pirate Story started out as a short - I wanted to create a couple of despicable anti heros / let them wreak a little havoc and kill them off in some bloody way.

The characters soon took on their own lives / no one wanted to get knocked off.

They preferred a soap opera format.

(I started writing this in 1991...)
